When news of this game first broke, it appeared to be refreshingly different and incredibly cool. Now we finally know when we will get to play it, with the Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden – Announcement Trailer. Spoiler: it will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 4, 2018.

In the game you take control of a team of mutants, including a walking, talking duck with a crossbow and a boar with anger issues, in a turn-based tactical combat game inspired by XCOM. You use real-time stealth to sneak through the shadows and gain the element of surprise as you journey through a post-human world of crumbling highways, overgrown countryside, and abandoned cities on your search for Eden.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a tactical adventure game combining the turn-based combat of XCOM with story, exploration, stealth, and strategy. Take control of a team of Mutants navigating a post-human Earth. Created by a team including former HITMAN leads and the designer of PAYDAY.
