Endless Summer T-Shirt Review

Endless Summer Shirt

Who doesn’t love a good T-Shirt? Whether it is some funny text or a funny or geeky image, we wear T-Shirts to express our individuality and our personality. This Endless Summer T-Shirt from ThinkGeek is the perfect t-shirt for me and I was lucky enough to have one sent to me for review.

I’m old enough to have lived through the arcade age and I have enjoyed all manner of machines that suck in your quarters. Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Qix, Space Invaders, I could name them all day and still leave out great games. When I first saw this shirt it was like a blast from the past. There’s nothing quite like nostalgia.

It was an amazing time to grow up in. We had so many things that were completely new and had never existed before. EVERYTHING was new and amazing. We had never seen the likes of Star Wars before. And we had video games.

When you walked into an arcade in those days, it smelled of hopes and dreams and of smoke (you could smoke indoors in those heady days and many machines have the burn marks to prove it) and excitement. The sounds hit you instantly, a hundred different digital beeps and blips and pings. The slippery slide of a quarter careening down a slot and into a bin with its other shiny friends. All mingled with voices, hushed and loud, frustrated or elated.

It was always either sunny or darkened depending on the arcade, but I always remember it as summer. And it did feel endless. That’s how things can hit you sometimes and bring back the past. That’s what this shirt did for me. Sure, it’s a great shirt that fits nice and has an awesome graphic on it depicting my youth. But I love it for the memories it brings back. I know many of you will know exactly what I’m talking about. And that is the best review that I can give to any piece of clothing.

If you get what I’m talking about you can find Endless Summer at ThinkGeek.com for $17.99-$19.99.
