Today Disney•Pixar released the Toy Story 4 Official Teaser Trailer. The film will hit theaters next summer. June 21, 2019, to be exact. Many fans think it’s about time, given that Toy Story 3 came out in 2010. It’s hard to believe the original came out all the way back in 1995.
Many of the talented stars are back to lend their voices to Toy Story 4, including Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear. The cast also includes Patricia Arquette, Annie Potts, Joan Cusack, Kristen Schaal, Bonnie Hunt, Jeff Garlin, and Laurie Metcalf. Josh Cooley is listed as the director, whose only directing credits are two shorts: Riley’s First Date? (2015) and George & A.J. (2009). Many consider John Lasseter (director of the original Toy Story and heavily involved with most films from Pixar) the creative force behind Pixar’s success, and perhaps his talent will be on display again for Toy Story 4 as he is the Executive Producer and one of the writers.

Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.
