Trying to do the daily crossword puzzle is a tradition for many people and many of those people just aren’t good at it.  Why not save them the time and frustration and get them The Times Puzzle.  This is a neat 400 piece puzzle that is totally custom to the date you choose.  Everyday had a different front page, so choose a date you remember.  Maybe complete the puzzle and then frame it?

  • Please allow 7 working days for delivery
  • Quote date in format ‘day month year’, e.g. 14 September 1984
  • Bank Holiday editions not available. Other dates subject to availability
  • If any date falls on a Bank Holiday you will be automatically given the next date
  • Measures 48 x 34cm and includes copy of page
  • The Times was not published between 26th March 1955 to 20th April 1955 & 1st December 1978 to 12th November 1979

  • 1785 The Times (then The Daily Universal Register) first published
  • 1788 The Daily Universal Register became The Times
  • 1807 First staff foreign correspondent, Henry Crabb Robinson, appointed
  • 1914 First 1d issue with 24 pages appeared and circulation climbed to 166,000. The circulation jumped again to 278,000 in August 1914 on the outbreak of the First World War
  • 1966 News appeared permanently on the front page for the first time on May 3, replacing advertisements. The Times was bought by Lord Thomson
  • 1981 Times newspapers were bought by News International
  • 1986 The Times moved to Wapping
  • 1996 The first internet edition of The Times was published
  • 2002 Robert Thomson appointed editor of The Times
  • 2003 The Times announces on Nov 23rd that it will be launching a compact edition alongside the existing broadsheet. The new compact Times will be sold in London from Wednesday 26 November
  • 2004 The Times announces that from Monday November 1 2004 it will be published in the new compact-only edition six days a week
