Batman’s colorful sidekick enters the Batcave with the Robin Maquette Diorama, proving that short shorts and bright colors are the perfect clothes to wear when you want to wander around a dangerous city at night.
Poor Burt Ward. Adam West got the cool(ish) Batman outfit and the chance to flirt with Julie Newmar’s Catwoman, while Burt got to wear this outfit and say witty things like ‘Holy Baloney, Batman.’ Oh well. At least he’ll be remembered forever as Robin, the Boy Wonder, and you can’t beat immortality.
This 10.5-inch-tall statue lets you return to the 60s (same Bat-time, same Bat-channel) with Dick Grayson’s colorful alter-ego standing in front of the Bat-computer. Don’t laugh. That was hi-tech back in the day.
Actually, Robin is standing in front of half the computer. You’ll have to get the “To the Batmobile” Batman Maquette Diorama for the other half.
The Robin Maquette Diorama will be available Aug 2015 – Oct 2015 but it can be pre-ordered now for $264.99 at Sideshow Collectibles.
