Multimedia Boombox

The Go Video Portable Multimedia Player ($160) gives you a little taste of those old boombox days, but comes with modern day technology.
It features a 7-inch LCD screen and can handle DVD, CD, CD-R/RW and JPEG formats. It also includes an AM/FM radio, bass boost, stereo speakers and a remote control.
Equipped with video and coaxial digital audio outputs, plus one USB port. For power, use the included AC power cord or 8 x C batteries. Size (in inches): 16W x 9-1/4D x 6H.

i have to say that if there are dudes walking around the city with these on their shoulders, blasting out Laverne and Shirley reruns, it might be more of a public service than a nuisance. :)
