Wherever you go through all of Time and Space, you’ll rest easy knowing you’ll always have money with you with the Doctor Who Collectible Coins, although I seriously doubt you’d want to actually spend these bits of silvery Whovian goodness.
Each $1 coin is made of 999 Fine Silver, has a diameter of 32mm, and features one of the first eleven incarnations of the madman in a box, although – sadly – the new addition of John Hurt’s War Doctor into Doctor Who canon has not been included in the coin collection.
On one side of the coin is a detailed color likeness of the Doctor, along with a major nemesis of that time frame. On the other side is the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Each 1/2 oz Silver Coin is packaged in a blue presentation box with an embossed silver foiled Doctor Who logo, and comes with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
The Doctor Who Collectible Coins are available for $70 each at the New Zealand Mint website. Also available for $200 is a Special Offer Early Doctors Collection that includes First Doctor William Harnell, Second Doctor Patrick Troughton, and Third Doctor Jon Pertwee.
