Want to experience the thrill of sailing but your land-locked butt can’t find a big enough body of water to drop a boat in? Forget the water and use the WC100-R Wind Chaser.
This three-wheeled craft is sort of like a go-cart that uses wind power instead of a gasoline-powered engine, making it easy on the wallet and the environment, as well as being a lot of fun. No previous sailing experience is necessary; all you need is an open, flat surface and wind.
The 35′ 1/2″ square-foot Dacron sail slips over the mast and attaches to the boom, providing quick set-up and two fiberglass battens keep the sail taut to make consistent use of the wind. Steering is done with foot pedals so your hands can remain free to operate the sail and handbrake. The two 20″ rear wheels provide stability and the 12″ front wheel, connected to the foot pedals, takes care of the steering.
The Wind Chaser breaks down easily into four 4′ long bags for easy transport.
