David Banner (Bill Bixby) would roll into town, trying to lie low, and someone would inevitably make him angry, resulting in a ‘what the !@#$’ look that looked pretty freaky for the times, thanks to some white contact lenses. And then, Lou Ferrigno, covered in green paint, would step in and growl at the camera. Sure, he might not seem like much when compared to the CGI Hulk in The Avengers, but for many comic book fans, Ferrigno was, and always will be, the Hulk.
