What happens if you take a Nokia phone and an iPhone, mix them together, and then top it off projector? Well, you would probably end up with this tri-band smartphone.

With the internal micro SD card slot already containing a 1GB card, the phone comes out of the box ready to start talking, listening to music, taking pictures, and watching videos.

The projector can be used from a distance of up to 5 feet (150cm) and will project an image about 32 x 40 inches (80cm x 100cm). This is said to be an “actual use photo”:
Chinavision says that the Tri-Band Touchscreen Mobile Phone with Projector will be “available soon”. It’s probably not an Apple or Nokia approval that they’re waiting for.
Reader comment: Chinavasion says,
Due to realizing that this cool gadget phone is actually *tri band* not dual band, the title changed and it can now be found here.
PS. it is not a knock-off of anything – it is an original “outrageous” Chinese gadget mashup, aka Chinavasion’s speciality 😉
That might be the coolest “own money” phone one can have. No way a company would pay for that, to be used in business. Well, google prolly would, but “normal” companies.
I just wonder, what is the battery life on a phone that has a projector built-in?
Still, not going to get one. Father-in-law would never ever stop the mocking 🙂
That’s an awesome concept, but people are going to want a higher res projection output than 640×480, in my opinion. That feature is extraordinary though. People projecting images for each other, watching movies on the bus with your friends… limitless!
A laser pointer would be sweet too! =]
That is OUTRAGEOUS!
Not sure how practical something that reduces your battery life to under 2 minutes is actually going to be…
Yet more crappy knock-offs from the chinks

Thanks for the cool blog post… one thing we’d like to say though that it’s a tri band not a dual band… but otherwise it makes an interesting read
