As part of the new V5.30 Content Update, Epic added Shockwave Grenades to Fortnite. As they tend to do when there is a cool new item, they create a fun video to introduce it. They have done that for shockwave grenades, just as they did in the past for Stink Bombs, Shopping Carts, and other new items.

This new item launches players great distances without inflicting fall damage. The blast is so strong, you can launch players through structures! Now available in Fortnite Battle Royale.
Since players and vehicles do not suffer fall damage from the effects of shockwave grenades, the tactics for using them successfully are much different than a regular grenade. You can use them on yourself to blast yourself over obstacles, to higher locations, or simply to fling yourself above your enemies so you can attack from on high as you fly over them. You can also use them to blast your enemies through walls.
Shockwave grenades are epic rarity and drop in stacks of 2 with a maximum stack size of 6. They can be found in Vending Machines, Supply Drops, Llamas, and chest.
