Amigurumi Cthulhu

Amigurumi Cthulhu

Have you ever thought about taking up crocheting? No, well here is a pretty good reason why you might want to reconsider. The Amigurumi Cthulhu is a creative take on one of H.P. Lovecraft’s most feared and revered creatures.

GeekAlerts has shown you some cool Amigurumi figures before, remember the Star Wars and Game of Thrones Amigurmi, but this time it is a little different. The designer is selling the pattern so you can crochet your very own Cthulhu…if you lack the skills, don’t worry, contact her and she will sell you a pre-made one.

Amigurumi Cthulhu Crochet Pattern

This pattern features a squishable Cthulhu of my own design. He works up in about 2 or 3 hours and stands about 7 inches tall. He only uses one ball of Lily Sugar ‘n Cream cotton yarn and a G hook. I use 15mm safety eyes, but smaller, bigger, or even felted eyes would look cute too!

This pattern is great for beginners but requires basic crochet skills. You should be familiar with:

  • crocheting in round
  • single crochet stitch
  • increasing single crochet stitch
  • decreasing single crochet stitch
  • double crochet stitch
  • chain stitch

Put the NES away for a few hours and create your very own Amigurumi Cthulhu. The pattern is available at Etsy for $5.
