Cut and Collect Chopping Board

I think the most time-consuming process when it comes to cooking is the preparation, which involves chopping, slicing, dicing, and cutting up the ingredients. It’s a bit of hassle to have to prepare different containers to store the cuts to be used and the portions that need to be thrown out, ie. stems, skin, and other inedible portions. Aside from that, it also adds to the amount of time you’d need to clean up and put everything away.

A neat solution is the Cut and Collect Chopping Board. There’s basically a tiny drawer under the brightly-colored shopping board, so you can just sweep whatever you’ve chopped up or sliced up into it in one fluid movement. Whether you choose to put the stuff you’re going to use or dispose of in the drawer is up to you.

Joseph Joseph’s ingenious chopping board makes post prep cleanup a breeze. Stylish, sturdy and perfect for scraps of all sorts, this clever two-in-one tool even makes composting organic refuse like peels, stems and seeds easier than ever. Polypropylene is a dishwasher-safe material and it’s also an ideal surface for chopping since it acquires marks while it absorbs the pressure of the knife as you use it.

The Cut and Collect Chopping Board is available from Uncommon Goods for $25.
