Periodic Table of Imaginary Elements Poster

Periodic Table of Imaginary Elements Poster

Being a Chemical Engineering major, you can imagine how many Chemistry courses I had over the course of my college life. I had to memorize the periodic table of elements when I was taking my licensure examination after graduating, so you can understand that I’m not the biggest fan of the periodic table after that. But seeing the Periodic Table of Imaginary Elements Poster is definitely a welcome change.

Indulge in 122 fictional elements that sorted based on the type of media and genre in the Periodic Table of Imaginary Elements Poster. It would make a fun and novel gift for Chemists or other Chemistry majors, but don’t give one to kids or else they might think that¬†Unobtanium is a real element.

Periodic Table of Imaginary Elements Poster

  • Everything from Unobtanium to Wonderflonium to Latinum
  • Some of us know more of these than the real periodic table of elements
  • Poster print by Russell Walks

While there are those of us who can fill in a blank Periodic Table of Elements without an error, there are also those of us who failed that test because we thought Gold should be “Go” and Mercury “Me.” But we can wax on for hours and hours about the elements in the DC and Marvel universes, or the science behind space travel on Star Trek, or how Dr. Horrible’s Freeze Ray works.

The Periodic Table of Imaginary Elements Poster is available from ThinkGeek for $19.99.
