Tea Time Chandelier

Tea Time Chandelier

You don’t have to be a staunch member of the Tea Party to appreciate the beauty of tea cups and teapots. Even if you’re more of an organic, fair trade coffee-drinking Liberal who prefers sipping from an insulated thermos, you could easily be amazed by this original Tea Time Chandelier.

You won’t find this one at the Home Depot. Adorned with real, old-fashioned tea cups, teaspoons, trays and sterling silver tea pots, it’s hard to believe that the structure is also a functional lamp. The spoons reflect light to make the chandelier sparkle, but once in a while you may need to clean them to keep them from tarnishing.

Tea Cup Chandelier

Tea Time Chandelier
Cake Vintage’s designer Robbie Cook rounded up a plethora of tea party essentials to create this dramatic dining room focal point, which begs us to ask the question, “Why not serve tea on the ceiling?” Eighteen vintage teacups dangle from an arrangement of vintage silver serving trays, utensils and the teapot itself, as seven lights illuminate the scene. Professional hardwiring required

  • Vintage silver plated metal, vintage ceramic
  • 75 watt max
  • 36″ chain; 120″ cord
  • 24″H, 20″ diameter
  • Handmade in USA

The Tea Time Chandelier is an online exclusive at Anthropologie for $1,800.

I can almost picture a sweet Mother’s Day brunch taking place, with the Blooming Flower Pot Cake being served underneath the dangling cluster of tea cups.
