These three Barbie Star Trek 50th Anniversary Dolls are ready to boldly go where no Barbie has gone before.
Barbie and Ken have cosplayed as Star Trek characters before, dressing in Star Trek uniforms, and there have been Star Trek Barbie dolls featuring the likenesses of the characters from the 2009 Star Trek movie, but this is the first time Barbie has tackled Star Trek: The Original Series, featuring Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, and Lt. Uhura as portrayed by William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and Nicelle Nichols, respectively.
Standing approximately 11-inches tall, these classic characters are ready to beam into your Star Trek or Barbie collection. Kirk comes with a communicator and phaser, while Spock comes with a communicator and one hand forming the Vulcan salute. There’s no word at this time on whether Uhura comes with accessories or not, although judging by the above picture, it’s probably safe to assume she comes with a tricorder.
The Barbie Star Trek 50th Anniversary Dolls will be available September 30, 2016 but they can be pre-ordered now at Amazon.com.
The Barbie Star Trek 50th Anniversary Kirk Doll and the Barbie Star Trek 50th Anniversary Spock Doll will be available individually on July 15, 2016 and can be pre-ordered now.
