TV-B-Gone: Turn Off (Almost) Any TV
This almost sounds to good, or scary perhaps, to be true. I Want One Of Those claims that this pocket sized universal remote is capable of turning on or off just about any TV, as long as you are within a 15 metre (49 feet) range.
The TV-B-Gone ($26) is small enough to fit on a keyring and works on most TVs by shining pulses of invisible light that instructs them to turn off or on.
Features:
- A universal remote control that allows you to turn any TV on or off when you are within a 15m range.
- The remote is pocket-sized making it delightfully portable.
- Uses a high-power 940mm infrared beam to control televisions.
- Suitable for ages 8 years+.
- Requires 3 x Li Coin Cell Batteries (included).

I’ve had my TV-B-Gone since they were first introduced two years ago, and it still works great. You can take out rows of TV’s at stores all at once, or just annoy the guys at the sports bar!

this is the stupidest idea ive ever heard of. good thinking idiots. turning off a tv? woooooah. let’s go to the mall and turn off all the TVs at Best Buy…woot. that sounds like fun. morons.
