Jayne’s Firefly Hat

Jaynes Firefly Hat

Many loyal Browncoats already have a wardrobe that includes this iconic headpiece, but those who don’t need to grab up Jayne’s Firefly Hat because the beloved symbol of devotion is about to become a lot harder to find.

The multi-orange, 100% acrylic yarn, machine-washable laplander cap isn’t exactly what you’d expect a gun-happy guy like Jayne to wear, which is exactly why it works so well. Also, considering the fact that Jayne almost always has heavy artillery or explosives close-at-hand, the big guy could wear just about anything he wants and nobody would say anything negative about it.

One thing in particular sets this orange hat apart from the rest, which has become a rather big sore spot for loyal Browncoats. This Firefly headpiece is the only one that’s officially licensed, which means it will soon be the only one out there.

It’s definitely not cool of FOX to get all legal with a show that’s been off the air for over ten years, but there is a bright side for Firefly fans to rejoice over – 100% of the profits from the sale of this piece will be donated to Can’t stop the Serenity, a Browncoat-inspired charity that works for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women around the world.

You can get Jayne’s Firefly Hat, and help a great cause, for $24.99 at ThinkGeek.com.

One Response to “Jayne’s Firefly Hat”

  1. This is actually completely untrue. though fox may have licensed a pattern, they cannot copyright EVERY pattern for this hat, so while they can bitch about similar looking hats, they CANNOT take someone to court for copyright infringement unless someone is using their exact same pattern.

That being said, still watch your ass out there, in case they want to come after you. keep a copy of your pattern, and don’t let those corporate swine get you down.

THEY CAN’T TAKE THE SKY FROM ME!
