What imaginary function would you like to see in a watch design from the future?

I would like to have an input option to tap a couple of times into the watch and it should calculate the medium frequency per minute of my beats. This is because I am a doctor and would fin it easier to monitor my patients respiratory rates and heart beats in an low technology environment. (like at a home emergency before ambulance gets there or in a bad equipped hospital)

I would like to have a GPS system incorporated in the watch that would help me to calculate the surface of different areas in agriculture. My job is Loss Adjuster in agricultural claims and this option can help me a lot to identify and measure different surfaces.

What imaginary function would you like to see in a watch design from the future?

I would have a watch that would become my friend and would learn to hug me. Sometimes you find yourself in a large box store and you don’t know why you are there. The lights are blinding and it seems that all the love in the world has vanished. So perhaps you could look at your watch and say a simple command, “I need a hug” and it will zap you with electricity and say, “it is ok, I am your friend and I hate it here too.”

“What imaginary function would you like to see in a watch design from the future?”

I would like to see a watch that can be programed to function as a key fob for a car. That way if I was wearing that watch I could just get in car and use my push button start without having to worry about have the key fob on my key ring.

I would like watch to be more of a personal computer than just a time indicator. I would like it to provide information about the world around me – temperature, air pollution, humidity…and also about the place I am in, like a tourist guide. The watch should also be able to work as a microphone for my mobile phone, or to be a mobile phone on its own. More futuristic visions of perfect watch for me include holographic projection, voice (or thought) control and 3D camera. However, I would be glad as well if the watch remains what they are nowadays – a reliable accessory with unique design.
