Hedgehog fans need to check out the new Sonic Mania Plus Trailer from Sega. Sonic Mania Plus is an update to Sonic Mania and is the definitive 2D version with stunning HD retro-style graphics. You get all new content, pixel-perfect visuals, and 60 FPS action.
There are two new characters, so in total there are now 5 playable characters: Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Mighty the Armadillo, and Ray the Flying Squirrel. There are new stages and re-imagined classic zones, as well as new game modes.
Sonic Mania Plus is for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One and will be available in the Encore DLC ($4.99) for those that own Sonic Mania. The complete physical copy is $29.99 and comes in special packaging with a Sega Genesis reversible cover, and a 32 page art book.
Sonic Mania Plus will be available on July 17, 2018, but can be pre-ordered now at Best Buy.

Sonic Mania Plus is available both as a physical copy and as DLC if you already own the game. The physical edition comes with special packaging, a reversible cover, and a 32 Page Art Book.
