I get why themed rings have such a pull when you want to wear something that says a little more about you. Jewelry feels better to me when it has some personality behind it instead of looking generic. That is part of why I like birthstone rings. They still feel personal and expressive, but in a way that works outside of one specific fandom or trend, so you can keep wearing them long after the novelty wears off.
