Everyone loves the cuteness of Baby Groot but the Guardians of the Galaxy Potted Groot Statue offers a little something for fans of the comic book.
Before Hollywood made GotG cool, the ragtag team of galactic defenders were doing their thing in the pages of comic books, and Groot was still sacrificing himself every now and then to save his friends. However, little comic book Groot didn’t really have the cuteness factor going for him; he just basically looked like himself, only smaller.
The gang at Gentle Giant has brought that version of Groot to us, and they’ve added a holiday spin so Groot can be festive next Christmas. The limited edition polyresin statue comes with interchangeable snow, a scarf, Christmas lights, and a tag signed R. Raccoon (complete with paw print). It’s also individually numbered and has a matching certificate of authenticity.
