Remote Controlled Upright Pinball

Remote Controlled Upright Pinball

Techball is the name of this upright version of the classic electronic pinball game. You can play the game from distances of up to 20 feet using the included remote control.

With classic arcade features like flashing LED lights, solenoid controlled flippers, and hidden tunnels, the pinball machine offers three skill levels and one- or two-player modes.

The lighted scoreboard tracks play and displays high scores, and a detachable black light allows glow-in-the-dark play. Plugs into AC.

The remote has a 20′ range and uses one 9-volt battery (not included). The pinball game may also be wall-mounted to save space. Ages 6 and up. 30 1/4″ L x 12 3/4″ W x 3 1/2″ D. (9 1/2 lbs.)

The Remote Controlled Upright Pinball ($120) from Hammacher Schlemmer measures 30 1/4(L) x 12 3/4(W) x 3 1/2(D) inches and can be wall-mounted to save space.

[...] We’re not sure that there was anything particularly broken about pinball, but this Remote Controlled Upright Pinball machine attempts to reinvent the genre. Featuring LEDs and “hidden tunnels,” you play the game through an R/C remote from distances up to 20 feet (…if you can see the ball from that far away). But in spite of the wall-mountable space-conscious design, the longer we stare at the machine, the more we realize it’s a cheap abomination of the pinball tradition. If the game rocks your world, it’s $120. [Hammacher Schlemmer via Geek Alerts] [...]
