 Pico USB

The polished chrome Pico USB flash drive is only 31.3 x 12.4 x 3.4 mm in size, but it is still capable of storing an impressive 8GB of data.

Store four full length ripped movies, five days worth of music, more than four-thousand 5 megapixel photos, or eighty-meters worth of shelved books. Sure, it’s so small you could easily lose it, so we’ve included a chain to help keep it around.

Why don’t they say that it is Super Talent who is the manufacturer? It’s written on the piece it self.

There are three different kinds of Pico USB drives from Super Talent. Check out their official website and take a look at the different designs of Pico-A, -B and -C.

    I forgot to tell you…

This USB stick is extremely fast. No joke with the specifications. Google some reviews. I’ve found two that are compared to OCZ Rally 2 (which is a really fast and expencive usb stick) and it is faster in almost every aspect. This is by far the fastest usb stick when it comes to access time. (According to the reviews).

I’m pretty sure it is just matter of time before they come-up with another mini version of this.

    Brando sells this as well:

Their shipping option is a lot cheaper than Thinkgeek

This is still larger than the smallest USB drive I already got, which is actually an A-DATA micro SD card reader (with card inserted), which measures 22.9 x 12.7 x 2.5 mm.

Given that you can buy an 8GB Kingston micro SD card for $35 from Amazon.com and the reader plus a 2GB card for $20, the price is still competitive, plus you get an extra 2GB micro SD card to boot.

    Here’s the Amazon.com link: http://www.amazon.com/DATA-MICRO-Reader-microSD-interface/dp/B000VE2PCG

This sucks, as does the link Andrew sent. Logitech has a wireless USB mouse with a usb receiver, the receiver sticks out less than 1/4 inch from the USB port.

Why can’t I get a usb memory stick in the same form factor for my eeepc or regular laptop?
