Divoom Bluetune Solo Bluetooth Speaker Review

A while back we introduced you to the Bluetune Solo, and today we take a closer, hands-on look in this Divoom BluetuneSolo Bluetooth Speaker Review.  We’ll test out the sound quality, take a look at the extensive features, and see if this wireless Bluetooth speaker system is worth the price.

Standing just under 3″ tall, the Bluetune Solo is quite compact–smaller than the pictures make it look.  It is solid and appears to be well constructed of a mix of metal, plastic, and rubber.  It has a bit of weight behind it, which I assume is mainly due to the heavy magnets needed to make quality speakers.

Speaking of quality, the sound is quite good–dramatically better (fuller and louder) than the built-in speakers on an iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S3.  While the sound distorts heavily at higher volumes and cannot fill a room with music like a real stereo or home theater system can, the Bluetune-Solo does quite well for a compact, portable speaker.  It has a built-in rechargeable battery (rechargeable via included USB cable) that gives ample battery life.

Where the Bluetune Solo really shines is in the features.  Since it supports Bluetooth, you can say goodbye to wires and stream music wirelessly through your iPhone, laptop, smartphone, or other device.  You can still use it with devices without Bluetooth though, by using the included 3.5mm cable.  It even has an aux output so you can use it as the input for other speakers.  This allows you to daisy chain multiple Bluetune Solos together to provide more volume, or even use one Bluetune Solo to drive other speaker systems–turning them into wireless speakers.

Additionally the Divoom Bluetune Solo has a built-in microphone, allowing it to be used as a wireless speaker phone.  Just click the button on top to go seamlessly from listening to music to making a hands-free phone call.
