Back to the Future DeLorean External Hard Drive

Are you telling me that you built a hard drive… out of a DeLorean? Well, maybe it’s not that radical because this was never a real car but the Back to the Future DeLorean External Hard Drive is still pretty impressive to look at.

If you’re a fan of BTTF and think a replica of Marty McFly’s ride would be a great way to house an external hard drive, then this highly-detailed work of art is the time machine you’re looking for.

The 1:18 scale, stainless steel body features a hood and gull-wing doors that open, along with a 750GB hard drive and high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity.

In addition to the ‘Red Wheel’ version, there’s also a ‘Train Wheel’ edition that features a train track base for the car to set on.

The Back to the Future Red Wheel DeLorean External Hard Drive is available for $385 and the Back to the Future Train Wheel DeLorean External Hard Drive is available for $340 at FlashRods. (Links removed because the website is no longer online.)

If you really want to keep the time-travel theme going strong on your computer desk, you could use the DeLorean with the Doctor Who TARDIS PC. How’s that for a mash-up everyone would love to see?
