Weston Restaurant Quality French Fry Cutter

Do you like taters in a big way? So do I, and of course the most enjoyable way of eating taters is if they’re french-fried. Potatoes are actually very nutritious, but when you fry the living daylights out of them they lose all their super powers. Do you cut fries out of the diet altogether? Hogwash! Instead, make them yourself starting with the Weston Restaurant Quality French Fry Cutter.

To wean oneself off fatty, salty restaurant fries, it requires scheming up a placebo effect. That means making fries that look and taste as good as ones you get from the drive thru window. First, the fries need to look relatively symmetrical and skinny (like the McDonald’s kind). Second, the prep work must not take a long time or else one will lose interest and patience quicker than you can say “supersize me.” This non-nonsense french fry slicer will address the appearance dilemma. Simply stick in a washed potato and send it through the guillotine with its skin on. (for vitamins and electrolytes!) I bet you could do five potatoes in under a minute.

  1. This takes me back to my first restaurant job almost 20 years ago. You can blow through a box of potatoes in no time at all with a little practice. Just don’t mount it too high on the wall, or you’ll have poor leverage.
