This device doesn't work if you USB (with your computer) is 2.0.
The lowest denominator always controls the speed.

Of course its true, & it has no bearing on if its a good product or not. If you have a USB 3.0 port on your computer, this will (like USB 2.0 hubs before it) give you more USB 3.0 ports (which are way faster than USB 2.0). But if you only have USB 2.0 ports on your computer, there is NO WAY for this to work @ USB 3.0 speeds. Or any other USB 3.0 device. Its like attaching a firehose to a sink faucet. The hose can handle hundreds of gallons a min, but the sink can only put out like 5.
