This red Solar Race Car ($24) is a great example of a fun toy that doesn’t require any batteries. All it takes is some sun, which currently here in Sweden is as easy to find as an iPhone. It’s impossible, in other words.
Luckily, the car also works when being close to a strong artificial light source.
