Our sample was in red, which was attractive and easy to spot. Setting up was simple; you simply pop the wheels onto the trolley. The trolley itself is strong, yet lightweight, and it folds up for very compact storage.
The picnic time cooler is also high quality. It is constructed of a micro-fiber polyester that is attractive, strong, and dirt resistant. There is a handle on top so you can carry it, or you can simply slide it onto the trolley through the two attached loops so you can wheel it around instead. Inside there is plenty of room for drinks and other items, and the insulation does a good job of keeping the contents cool.
Living in Southern California with some incredible weather in early February, I was able to test the Metro Kart insulated rolling cooler on a couple trips to the beach. Overall, it was terrific, and is now my family’s new favorite beach bag. Other wheeled carts I’ve tried had smaller wheels, making it hard to roll on the beach or rough terrain. With larger wheels this one worked great.
It also was much nicer to use a wheeled cart instead of lugging heavy bottles of water around in a regular tote bag. The insulation was also appreciated, keeping drinks nice and cool for a day at the beach. Despite being compact, there is a surprising amount of room in the cooler. We were able to fill the bottom with drinks and snacks, and still have room at the top for a number of beach towels.

Hi there. Is this carry-on size? Are the dimensions provided the whole thing, or just the cooler compartment?
The dimensions in the article are just for the cooler compartment. The trolley stands about 37″ tall. However, the cooler compartment is easily taken off the trolley, and the trolley collapses and folds down for compact storage (so it should easily fit in an overhead bin).
Actually, the dimensions in the article came from the merchant, and they don’t appear to match up with the size of the cooler either. (Perhaps it is the size of the box it is packaged in?)
When setup the trolley measures: 37″ x 14.75″ x 12″
That is that it is 37″ tall, 14.75″ wide at the wheels, and 12″ from the back edge of the wheels to the bottom front of the trolley. The trolley can be collapsed and folded to shrink down the height and thickness.
By itself the cooler measures: 20.5″ x 11″ x 8″
The cooler is soft, so you can easily squeeze it into smaller dimensions (on any axis) if it isn’t completely filled. If you stuff it overfilled with things like beach towels, it mainly grows from front to back. Fully stuffed, it can it will stretch to around 9″ deep.
