When I leave my house for work, it always makes me a little sad to wave goodbye to my Shih Tzu pup who gazes at me with wide eyes by the door. I’d love to stay home and play with her all day, but of course, I can’t. I feel a little guilty sometimes, leaving her for several hours alone with nothing but her toys to play with. One new and very stimulating toy is the Dog Casino.

It took me several days and a whole bag of treats before she learned to fetch. So what would motivate your dog to uncover and solve the workings of the Dog Casino? A jackpot prize hidden in one of the drawers of the toy, that’s what. Fill the drawers with your dog’s favorite treats and let the games begin.

They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks; and that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Well the makers of the Dog Casino aren’t going to let a bunch of old proverbs get in the way of a good time. This ingenious puzzle game is great for boy dogs, girl dogs, old dogs or young dogs – and is pretty fun for people too!

Simply load the sliding trays with your dog’s favourite nibbles (give them a clue by letting them watch) and then push them into the Dog Casino. It’s then up to your clever canine to pull the trays out with their paws and enjoy the tasty morsels inside.

The Dog Casino is available from Firebox for $56 and at Amazon.com from $32.99.

  1. We have a few of the Nina Ottosson toys for our Huskies, they are pretty awesome. It’s actually kinda freaky seeing dogs using these toys, proving how smart they actually are. I know some children that would have trouble with these toys.
