Backtrack GPS Homing Device Keychain

Backtrack GPS Homing Device Keychain

Never say, “Dude, where’s my car?” again after snapping up the GPS Homing Device Keychain. When maps, memory and asking for directions fail to guide you back where you were, it’s good to know that you can rely on GPS technology.

Operating this homing device is a cinch. Simply press the button at the start location, be it your car, home or hotel. (You can program the device to find all three, since it can store up to three starting points.) Then, go about your business and follow the compass arrow that indicates your heading in degrees when it’s time to return. The only other button is used to switch the device to compass mode.

The GPS Homing Device is highly accurate – within 5 yards – and accesses satellite signals via “Time to First Fix.” Imagine how handy it would be during a hike in the forest that turns dismal after you find yourself tired, disoriented, the sun is going down, you’re hungry and lost. No need to entertain thoughts of what Survivorman would do.  Just press the button and follow the arrow towards home. The countdown in distance begins in miles, kilometers, meters or yards, and the display illuminates with a backlight for when it gets dark.

You will need 2 AAA batteries to operate the device, but it has a lifetime guarantee.

Another keychain that could prove useful in emergency situations is the Portable USB Backup Battery keychain. It adds a boost of power for portable electronic devices with USB outlets, such as cell phones.

The GPS Homing Device Keychain is available at Hammacher Schlemmer for $79.95.

  1. Does this mean that if I’m at the mall it will make me retrace my steps through all the shops instead of just telling me where my car is?
