You’ll feel the urge to shout ‘born to be wild’ when you’re behind the wheel of the Adult’s Jaguar XK120 Mini Roadster.
You probably missed out on the XK120 when it made it’s debut at the 1948 London Motor Show but now is your chance to get behind the wheel of this iconic classic; a 1:2 scale version of that classic, anyway. Don’t let the small size fool you, though, because this beauty has all the style of the original. The sweeping rounded fenders, long hood, and tapered grille will have you saying… well… whatever the cool people said in 1948.
Made with an aerodynamic fiberglass hull supported by a powder-coated steel box chassis, the roadster is powered by a 110cc four-stroke air-cooled engine that provides a top speed of 38 mph. Its three-speed automatic transmission, double (front) and single (rear) wishbone suspension, and gas shocks yield smooth cruising on its four 10″ aluminum wheels and rubber tires. Twin front and a single rear hydraulic Brembo disc brakes enable quick, smooth stops. The interior includes a wood-rimmed aluminum steering wheel and dashboard while the exterior can be finished in any color desired, including the classic glossy British Racing Green of yesteryear.
