USA Network’s Burn Notice

USA Network's Burn Notice

Hey GeekAlert fans, are you looking to add some excitement to your Thursday night TV lineup? Sure you have the Big Bang Theory, but come 10/9c you have a chance to watch something that would make even Sheldon excited; if he wasn’t Sheldon of course. The USA Network’s Burn Notice is action-packed original series starring Jeffrey Donovan as Michael Westen, a blacklisted spy and Gabrielle Anwar as Fiona, a beautiful ex-IRA operative who happens to be Westen’s ex-girlfriend. Sounds like our type of spy games!

Tonight’s episode, Necessary Evil, is all new and airs at 10/9 central on the USA the Network. Besides the two aforementioned actors, Burn Notice happens to star one of my favorite Sci-Fi movie actors, Bruce Campbell, as Sam Axe. You probably remember Bruce from the zombie classics like Army of Darkness and The Evil Dead, but he has also had some parts in other GeekAlert favorites like Spider-man, Cars 2, and the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie.

Bruce Campbell stars as Sam, Michael’s closest buddy in town. Sam is a washed up military intelligence contact who is an expert in tactical analysis, cutting through red tape, and finding the quickest route to a cold Mojito. Also starring is Emmy Award-winner Sharon Gless as Madeline, Michael’s hypochondriac mother, who couldn’t be happier to have her boy back in town.

Created and written by Matt Nix, Burn Notice combines intense action/thriller elements with surprising humor to create an iconic new breed of spy.

New episodes will air on Thursdays at 10/9c on the USA Network.

  1. SNL did a sketch about a game show called “What is Burn Notice?” That sketch pretty much sums up my feelings on the show. What’s it really about? To me it’s about a guy who talks in an annoying way, and a girl who’s supposed to be hot, but just isn’t.

  2. Is this a paid ad?

    • No. We never do paid ads as postings.

However, it may seem a bit out of place compared to our normal postings, and that is because we included it as a way to introduce an upcoming Burn Notice prize pack giveaway. Stay tuned for details of this $400 value giveaway from USA Networks exclusively for GeekAlerts readers!
