Transceiver for iPhone

CB Transceiver for iPhone

Before mobile phones and computers, there were CB radios. Perhaps as a tribute to the old communications system that served its purpose back in the day, some folks have created a microphone-slash-speaker resembling the transceiver on these radios for a new-age device: the Transceiver for iPhone.

They’re way bulkier than most speakers and microphones available on the market, though, so unless you have a special place in your heart and an unexplainable fondness of CB radios, then this probably isn’t for you.

The Transceiver for iPhone comes with a belt clip for easy handling and lets you play music, pause, skip forward, go back and adjust the volume with a push of a button. It can operate for about 15 hours and runs on 2 AAA batteries.

  1. Haha, this is great. I just found an old CB radio vocabulary book from the 1970s in my grandparent’s garage. This would be a perfect way for me to show off my new slang! After finding that book I definitely have a special place in my heart and an unexplainable fondness of CB radios 🙂

  2. Hi, Hazel !

Nice gadget, but can you tell me if this transceiver will work with another smartphne than IPhone ? I owe a Nokia N8, and I just can’t find any similar microphone.
