Is the Flying R/C UFO Lamp a bit too much for your needs? Try this UFO night light instead, created by Stuart Morrow, a.k.a. katsudesigns at the Etsy online marketplace.

Each whimsical UFO night light is handcut from aluminum sheet, grinded, formed, and painted with the addition of colorful plexiglass. Riveted construction.

The 6(H) x 6(W) x 1(D) inches large lamp is available in blue (see above photo), red and green. It uses a standard night light bulb (candelabra base, 7,5 watt).

The Japanese toy manufacturer Tomy has announced its QFO – a small radio-controlled flying toy that was recently displayed at the 2008 Tokyo Toy Show in Japan.

There isn’t much info available about this new little gizmo, but Andrew Liszewski over at the great OhGizmo gadgets and design blog managed to find this video shot by DigInfo, showing the flying R/C “helicopter” in action and giving some info:

Four types of Tomy QFO R/C toys are scheduled to be released at the end of September. There is no word on pricing yet.

The Japanese video game developer Taito is giving you a chance to light up your room in a way that would even make Fox Mulder jealous, using a flying UFO inspired radio-controlled lamp.

A pair of rotary-blades on top of the toy provides the lift to take to the air and control is handled through a handheld remote control.

The UFO-One Light can be pre-ordered from the NCSX shop. The product will ship in November 2008 and the price is set to $22.90.

Wow, Moller International has started the production of M200G – a “flying car” capable of hovering 10 feet off the ground and cruise at a speed of 50 mph.

The craft will cost somewhere between 90,000-125,000 USD, depending on engine costs. Here’s a video clip of the M200G in action:
