<p>The reason for closing down GeekAlerts is simply that it takes too much time &#8211; a luxury that I&#8217;m afraid I don&#8217;t have at the moment. The decision hasn&#8217;t been easy and I am truly sorry for having to do it, but I still feel it&#8217;s the right thing to do.</p>
<p>Many thanks to all of you readers, it&#8217;s been a great time!</p>

<p>Still not enough to satisfy your daily need of robot geekiness? Ok, here we go: It can walk around on your desk without falling over the edge and there&#8217;s a built-in fire alarm with a one-touch 112 dial up.</p>
<p>Still not enough? Ok, here we go again: You have a burglar alarm connected to a GPS and it&#8217;s waterproof down to 1 meter (3.3 feet).</p>
