Powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, the Pocket Cinema uses a high powered LED to fling images wallwards (yes, we made that word up). We’re not talking plasma quality – and like all projectors image quality diminishes with distance – but dim the lights and it’s just like being at the flicks.

It uses three LED’s, the green light stays on and forms the image of the tree. The Red and White LED’s flash on and off randomly like lights on a real tree would. The flashing is controlled my a Picaxe 08M micro. The unit is powered by a 9v battery regulated with a 78L05. The body of the unit is made from a plastic pipe the ends are cut out of thin plywood.

Handcrafted in Lyon, France, this stainless steel table lamp uses precision ground lenses to project an image from a slide onto a wall or ceiling. The streamlined polycarbonate lampshade focuses light through a condensing lens and onto the slide, while the reflector on the base of the lamp projects an image that measures up to 4 1/2′ -diam.
