We’ve gotten used to seeing R2-D2 as a mailbox, webcam and other products – and now the famous Star Wars droid shows up in the shape of a pepper mill, together with the black R2-Q5.

Two Star Wars pepper mills made of ABS plastic and measuring 11cm (4.33″) tall are on their way to the Japanese market on February 29, 2008. Both hold about 1 oz worth of peppercorns. To crush them, twist R2’s dome and flakes of pepper obediently drop from its bottom. Two variants are on offer – a blue and white R2-D2 and a black and gold R2-Q5.

You can already pre-order the Star Wars Pepper Mills for $19 each.

Star Shakers – rocket shaped salt & pepper dispensers designed by Ototo. The white shakers features S and P “space logos” and are made of ceramic.
