Remember those Space Invaders Headphones that we wrote about this summer? The wait is over – this fun and geeky audio accessory is now available from the NCSX shop.

Two styles are on offer – black circumaural headphones with a single white-pixel Invader and the original logo imprinted on each phone or a pair of pink headphones decorated with the Space Invaders logo and two miniature Invaders on the top and bottom of the text.

The design of the headphones is one of easy adjustability so that the phones swivel freely just like the Koss UR 20 headphones that we use from time to time. An adjustable headband allows users to lengthen the distance between the phones and the band.

The Space Invaders Headphones are available from the NCSX shop for $25.90 a pop.

The tiny Fiio E5 headphone amplifier, clearly inspired by Apples iPod Shuffle MP3 player, will help to give the volume from your favorite digital audio player a good boost.

The 26 gram light amplifier measures 44 x 38 x 12.2mm. It’s powered by a built-in USB rechargeable 200mAh lithium battery that allows for up to 20 hours of use.

According to GenerationMP3, the Fiio E5 headphone amplifier will retail for under $20.

The Japanese company Nikon Corporation has just announced their Media Port UP, a multimedia playback headset device that also supports Internet connection.

This innovative product, which incorporates display, headphones, mobile A/V player, Wi-Fi capability, high-capacity memory, and power source in a single compact unit is the first of its type. The UP allows users to easily enjoy high-quality images, videos, and music anywhere.

Two UP models will be available—the high-performance UP300x and the basic UP300. The Media Port UP will be available only in Japan through the Nikon Imaging Japan Inc.

The Media Port UP is available from the upstore.jp website for 59,800 yen (about $587 USD). More information about this new product in Nikon’s official press release.

The Greenhouse electronics company has released a new line of in-ear headphones where two of the models are clearly inspired by a couple a well-known superheroes.

The above Batman and Spider-Man themed earbuds are only two of the 13 different models you can choose from – all with a frequency response of 20Hz-20,000Hz, an impedance of 16 ohms, and a maximum input of 3 megawatts.

Jeff Davis, an American industrial designer probably most known for his Record Bowls, has now come out with a line of retro inspired jewelry.

The necklaces and earrings are available in three models – cassette, 45 rpm and headphones – and they are all made from recycled records.

The 30th Anniversary of the classic arcade video game Space Invaders is in full swing with new products being announced almost every week. Last week we saw these keychains, and soon gamers will be able to lay their hands on a pair of Space Invaders inspired headphones.

The Japanese Sanrio company is now offering a pair of Hello Kitty Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds. They sell them for 15,750 Yen (about $137 USD), claiming that the earbuds are “great for listening to music, school courses, the TV and while playing video games.”

Jabra has created the BT8030 – a pair of headphones that you can unfold into a pair of desktop speakers. You will get 32 hours of music playback in headphone mode, and 26 hours in speaker mode.

Jabra’s combo is compatible with any Bluetooth music device, like mobile phones, MP3 players or computers. The technology allows users to both listen to music and take calls.

The price will be $342 when BT8030 is released by the end of the year.
