Did you think the Darth Vader Statue was weird? That’s nothing compared to these two Christmas inspired Star Wars droids that the guys over at Walyou stumbled upon.

This collectible was inspired by the 1980’s Lucasfilm holiday greeting card art by Ralph McQuarrie, the concept artist responsible for much of the look of the original Star Wars trilogy. The set comes with a display base and includes a full-sized holiday greeting card.

You can get the “Star Wars Holiday Edition R2-D2 and C-3PO” from Amazon for $30.85 or over at eBay with the “buy it now” price set to $33.50.

It doesn’t happen often, but every now and then this golden protocol droid steels the show from R2-D2, Darth Vader and other Star Wars celebs.

The C-3PO collectible doll is 21 cm (8.26 inches) tall and made of soft vinyl. It can be pre-ordered for $58 and will start shipping in February 2009(?!).

Surely they must mean February 2008, or?

A new line of pillows in the same style as the Transformers one are now available at ThinkGeek. This time with a Star Wars theme.

The officially licensed Star Wars pillows ($20) are imported from Japan. They are 13 inches high and you can choose between Darth Vader, Stormtrooper or C-3PO. The reverse of the pillow has the Star Wars logo and the name of the character featured on the front.

When it comes to designing stuff shaped like droids from the Star Wars saga, it is usually the can-shaped R2-D2 who gets the honor(?). But this time it’s the golden human-like Mr. Threepio who gets the attention.

The Collectors Edition C-3PO Helmet Mask ($70) replica is composed of heavy duty vinyl and will fit most adults (sizewise that is).
