We have seen the heroic Transformers Autobot leader in the shape of USB flash drive. Now Optimus Prime is building a new career as a 4-port USB hub.

This 9-inch tall USB hub in the form of Optimus Prime’s head, includes the phrases: “Autobots, transform and roll out!”, “This is Optimus Prime – do you read me?” and “It’s time to stomp some Decepticons!”

When connecting hardware or memory sticks to the hub the sound and lights (in the eyes) are activated. An on/off switch included so the sound doesn’t have to go off. Controls 4 devices, no mains plug/power cord is required.

The Optimus Prime Head 4-Socket USB Hub will start to ship in August and can now be pre-ordered from the BigBadToyStore for $34.99.

Haier recently presented G70, a black 17.1 inch Santa Rosa-based notebook PC featuring the Transformers Autobot logo in pink on the front cover.

Adopting Intel 965PM + ICH8M chipset and Nvidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX 256M DDR III, the G70 is equipped with 2.5-inch SATA hard disk drive and 1.3M camera. It also supports up to 4GB expandable memory, fingerprint recognition and Bluetooth connection. It weights 3.95kg with 8 cell battery and ODD installed.

After having shown up as soft hug-friendly pillows, the Transformer robots are now back in the hard shape of memory sticks.
