Why would anyone buy this for $300+ when the ICOM Icom IC-R3-27 is a full-on wide-band receiver that offers all these features and more (like AV out, lithium ion battery, VHF ham radio scanner, etc)? Find one on eBay or craigslist (http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/1529903593.html). They can be found for $400 and are well made, documented and there are myriad resources on the web to learn more.
