It is actually pretty cool. She liked the dog version the best. She had lots of fun putting different materials (her hair, her hand, paper, glasses, our dog, etc) in between the sun and the dog to determine if it could get enough power to "wag" its tail. I liked the spinning airplane one the best. When placed in direct sunlight it would get going VERY fast. The motor is surprisingly powerful in direct las vegas summer sun. The only drawback is that it is not exactly easy to assemble the pieces. I struggled to get the wires wrapped into the coils on the solar panel. My 7 year old daughter could never assemble it on her own. For $7, its a good deal. After playing with it for a bit, I would value it at about $12-$15.
