Shopping Cart Lounger

Shopping Cart Lounger

Mike Bouchet takes his art to the next level with these Shopping Cart Loungers. They don’t look like the most comfortable things to sit in, but they do make quite a statement in the world of art.

The shopping cart seat is actually turned up to make a headrest, while the sides are cut off so claustrophobic people can still enjoy sitting back in these loungers. Joints and other elements of the cart have also been reinforced to ensure that these loungers can withstand the test of time and the harsh elements of the outdoors.

These designs will be presented by Cumulus Studios for Bouchet at the DesignMiami/ 2011 show in Basel.
