The Pyramat Lap Blaster Laptop Sound Booster ($130) features two powerful 4W full-range stereo speakers on a lightweight, wireless platform that supports any laptop, Mac or PC, up to 17 inches.

The Pyramat Lap Blaster system also includes a USB dock for your iPod.

Peak power is 30 watts and the signal-to-noise ratio (a measure of clarity) is an impressive 70dB; frequency response range is 220 to 20,000 Hz. The illuminating speakers are powered by your laptop (via included USB cable). What’s more, Lap Blaster includes a USB dock for playing your iPod; to power the speakers for that, just insert 4 C batteries (order separately). Measures 18″ x 17″ x 4″ and weighs 3 lbs.
