Pyle PSBV200BT 300 Watt Bluetooth Soundbar Review

Pyle PSBV200BT 300 Watt Bluetooth Soundbar

In this Pyle PSBV200BT 300 Watt Bluetooth Soundbar Review, we take a hands-on look and listen to this versatile sound system.  How does it sound?  Does it support Bluetooth streaming?  What features does it possess?  Does it enhance that certain part of the male anatomy?  We’ll answer some of your questions below.  (Tip: Don’t write reviews while watching late-night TV commercials.)

First off, calling the Pyle PSBV200BT a soundbar is too limiting, because that makes it sound like it is just speakers for a television or computer.  While it serve that function very well, it also is great for playing music using the built-in FM tuner, streaming from Bluetooth, from a memory card, or from a flash drive.  As such it can serve as a stereo for your bedroom, exercise room, garage, etc.

As for the sound, the Pyle PSBV200BT features 150 watts RMS (300 watts peak) of power delivered to five speakers: a 5.25″ woofer, two 3″ mid-range speakers, and two 1″ tweeters.  The sound quality is far better than the typical sound from built-in TV speakers, so it can serve well as the soundbar for an HDTV or multimedia computer system.  Naturally the sound can’t compare with that of expensive floor standing speakers and the bass doesn’t reach the low frequencies or deliver the power like a dedicated subwoofer.  But considering the low price, I consider the sound quality very good.

Overall I was impressed by the Pyle PSBV200BT and consider it a versatile audio system that is a good solution for many needs.  My main complaint is that there does not appear to be any way to turn off or even dim the LCD display.  In a dark room it can be distracting, so it would be nice if you could turn it off when don’t need to make any adjustments to the settings.

Pyle PSBV200BT Bluetooth Soundbar

Where the Pyle PSBV200BT Bluetooth Soundbar really excels is in the features.  It can stream music wirelessly from your cell phone (or other device) using Bluetooth, something I found worked smoothly with both the Apple iPhone and Android smartphones.  It has controls, both on the front of the unit and one the remote control, that allow you to pause, switch tracks, or answer calls.  It also has a 3.5mm jack (and comes with the needed cable) so you can plug in MP3 players that don’t have Bluetooth.  This cable is also the typical way to connect your PC to the soundbar.

This 3.5mm input jack is on the back, where two pairs of RCA jacks that serve as auxiliary inputs are also located.  These are useful for connecting the audio output from your television and DVD player to the soundbar.  Around the front is an SD/MMC slot for memory cards and a USB port for flash drives or external hard drives.  The Pyle PSBV200BT can play MP3 and WMA music files right off the memory card or drive that is plugged in.  Finally, there is also a built-in FM tuner so you can listen to the radio.

It’s all contained in one package Bluetooth wireless audio streaming, an FM radio, USB/SD card slots, three stereo RCA inputs, and one 3.5mm auxiliary input jack for plenty of ways to get your favorite music rocking. It’s all housed in a piano black finish painted wooden case with a beautiful blue backlight LCD display that will add new life to your home entertainment system. The sound is generated by two 1-Inch tweeters, two 3-Inch full range speakers, and a powerful 5.25-Inch woofer for deep, punchy bass, rich mids, and awesome highs. 1. I can’t listen to my sound bar until I go and purchase a longer cable to connect to the computer. The cord that came with it is to small and can’t reach. what a bummer. because I am disabled and can’t get around in a timely fashion!

  2. Tried 2 different antennas. FM will only pickup 107.7. There are 20 local strong stations in my area. Even the clock radio with no antenna beats this gig.
