myIDkey: Taking USB Security Seriously

USB flash drives can be notoriously unsecure, which is one of the reasons why it makes sense to have a properly encypted drive, so that some of your information remains hard to crack. The myIDkey USB drive will probably be the most secured USB on the market when it launches.

The myIDkey has an OLED display directly on the drive, as well as a biometric reader to ensure that no one else gets access to your data. The OS running the drive will erase your data if someone makes failed attempts to access it. You can recover this later from your PC. It also has built-in voice search, allowing you to search password and bank details stores as keycards.

  • myIDkey is a voice-activated
  • Fingerprint technology and secure
  • Includes Bluetooth/USB
  • OLED display for passwords and personal information

The myIDkey secure USB was launched as a Kickstarter project and has amassed over $400,000 out of goal of $150,000. There are still a few days left for funding, so you can pledge $99 to get yours.
