Why you ask, well anyone that works outside and has the drive hooked to a key fob on their belt and it starts to rain. What about fishermen, pool service techs, and don't forget killer whale trainers and bikers. I operate a TV camera and just this last weekend I was on an outdoor shoot and it started pouring rain. I had to keep shooting. The first thought that crossed my mind was my data and was it safe.

MDrive - When Would You Need A Waterprooft USB Drive?...

For me, I’ve absolutely no idea when would you every need a waterproof USB drive but I guess there’s no harm in having one either.
