Horsey Bike

Horsey Bike Design

What do you get someone who has always wanted a horse, but has no stable to house it in? Aside from the fact that it takes a lot of work to take care of a horse, there’s just no place for it in the big city. So here comes the Horsey Bike, which is a silly but clever play on so many different elements.

I mean, remember rocking on that wooden horsey back when you were still a kid, too little to know better? Remember that first ride you took on a real horse’s back, only to fall off a few moments later? Remember the first time you dad taught you how to ride a bike? (And do you remember falling off as well?)

Horsey Bike

The Horsey Bike doesn’t really have much to do with how the entire thing works, but it adds a lot to the bike’s general feel. You basically attach it to your bike and pedal as normal.

It was one of the submissions to the Seoul Cycle Design competition by Eungi Kim. Of his design, he says: “Horsey is an attachable bicycle ornament/accessory which makes one’s bicycle look horsey! The ‘horsey’ package includes wooden ornaments (horsey shape body), metal parts, and screws.” He adds: “I wanted to give a special look to bicycles so that people would care about cycling not only as transportation but also as a lovely pet.”

What do you think?
